End a Lesson
We've made it to the end of our first face-to-face Japanese lesson. A joyous occasion!
But how do we, uh, get off the phone with our teacher?
Before we do that, we can express that we had a good time in the lesson, saying:
楽しかったです。
たのしかった です。
It was fun.
Literally: "was fun + です."
Assuming that you liked the teacher and are planning to schedule more lessons with them, you can also say:
またお願いします。
また おねがい します。
I hope to see you again. // Please teach me again sometime.
Literally: "again + please."
As the lesson wraps up, different teachers have different styles of doing things, so I can't say for sure which phrases you'll want to have in your Japanese toolkit for this situation. Sorry. I think the two phrases above are very useful, though. I use them quite a lot in lessons.
Last of all, don't forget that you can say this at the moment just before you end the call:
失礼します。
しつれい します。
Goodbye.
Literally: "rudeness / rude + do."
That's it! You're done with your first lesson. Hopefully it went well, and you're feeling excited to take more lessons. Not only that, but a good lesson with a teacher can be very motivating, which helps us to remain diligent and keep at our studies.
Practice time:

またお願いします。
また おねがい します。
I hope to see you again. // Please teach me again sometime.
